A Magical Micro Wedding

The Venue

The Iron Whale, located on the Asbury Park boardwalk, NJ was the perfect choice for my wonderful couple, as it offers a unique oceanfront setting with a private ocean-view event room accommodating up to about 35 guests. Known for their great variety of fish and meat options and superb menu made it the ideal space for their micro wedding reception.

This space allowed my couple to use the beauty of the coastline as the backdrop for their reception, with a close intimate table setup so every corner of the room told their story of love, with the quiet magic of the shore behind them.

Every tablescape was lovingly styled with fresh field florals and the warm glow of candlelight, with each place setting graced by a beautifully boxed favor adorned with soft trailing greens and a seasonal beach tag.

The sweetheart table flowed seamlessly from the surrounding tablescapes in a beautiful harmony of blooms and candlelight, while the word love placed in the window caught the light and reflected the joy that filled every corner of the room.

As a breathtaking focal point, the rooms alcove was transformed into a coastal vignette of pure enchantment— a magnificent conch shell crowned in fresh florals, tenderly surrounded by candles and hand painted seashells.

A curated seasonal menu celebrated local flavors and coastal freshness, while the toast — unhurried, and deeply felt — filled the room with laughter, tears, and the kind of words that stay forever. Champagne flutes caught the outdoor light as every guest raised a glass to a love as enduring as the tide.
